Requirements to Join :
Joining is Easy! To be eligible for membership of Leighlin Credit Union Limited you must be living or working within our common bond area. The common bond is the factor which unites all the members of Leighlin Credit Union Limited – it is what all members have in common i.e. where they live. Because of the common bond, all members have the good of their credit union at heart; they know and trust each other. A minimum of a €5 lodgment is required to open and activate the account. A minimum balance of €5 is needed to be kept in the account to keep it activated. A copy of the proof of ID & proof of address will be kept on file. Evidence of ppsn is required but no copy is taken.
How to Join :
- Complete & sign the membership application form (online or in office)
- Present proof of identification, proof of residence and ppsn number
- A minimum of €5 lodgment required to activate and open account.
Three forms of identification :
One form of ID from each of the sections below is required:
- Evidence of Identification (must show proof of date of birth & recent photo), i.e. Current valid Passport, current valid Driving Licence
- Evidence of Address (must show address from the last 3 months), i.e. Household Bill (e.g. ESB, Phone) or Bank or Building Society Statement.
- Evidence of PPS number (e.g. Ppsn card or Medical card)
